THE MARATHON! – we split the 🧦*, sorry, IN HALF!

And that’s it! The challenge continues and will only end on race day.

If we count 21 + 21 km, we get the glorious 42 km of the Marathon!

Do I want to run them?

NO WAY!

It’s already hard enough training for the half marathon, let alone attempting a full one.

What about the fundraising? Slowly, step by step! Today, Bianca shared that we’ve passed the €1500 mark 🎊💃🏻 A huge thank you to everyone who’s donated so far, your support means the world! Every contribution, big or small, helps us get closer to our goal.

The St. João Calabria School is located in Saurino, a rural area home to some of the largest mines in Angola. The school is still developing, and we hope to bring some happiness to all the 1st-year students. There are around 100 children, and we’d really love to bring a smile to each one of them. We’d love to put a smile on every single face!

Now it’s time to lace up my sneakers and get back to training, after all, I’ll only have 3 hours to cross that finish line!

* This only makes sense in Portuguese, but I’ll explain it the best I can! “Socks” and “half” are the same word in Portuguese, and it’s a very common joke (so common that most people no longer find it funny… but hey, I’m still trying!). So when I say we “split the socks,” it’s true, left sock to Bianca, right to Zita, and we get 42 km! THE MARATHON! (Nope! Bianca, don’t even try! I will NEVER, EVER do it!!!)
